Sustainability

Sustainable entrepreneurship is a familiar theme in the Dutch paper and board industry and certainly within CVG too. We are highly aware that a paper manufacturer, who uses nature as a raw material, has a particular responsibility towards society and the environment – at both the local and global levels.

Socially and environmentally responsible
We can confidently state that our activities are socially and environmentally responsible in all respects. We aim to maintain this guarantee in the future too, partly in view of our own continuity as a socially responsible commercial enterprise. This is why the foundation of our policy is sustainable entrepreneurship. You can read more about this here.
We have translated these principles into, among other things, concrete environmental care in the production process. This environmental care is achieved through a system that defines tasks and responsibilities. This system meets the international ISO 14001 standard; CVG has also been granted the accompanying certificate.

As from 2003, Crown Van Gelder publishes a Sustainability Report. The report follows the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines. The Sustainability Report contributes greatly to CVG's profile as a transparent and progressive company. A summary of the Sustainability Report in Dutch is prepared for local distribution.
