Quality as an
element of the production
At CVG everything revolves around quality. The
result is that our paper is categorized as Quality
A. We achieve this standard by process computers that continually
monitor the production process and the around the
clock dedication of our process operators.
At the end of the production
process our paper is checked against no less
than twenty quality criteria. The quality is
also measured at many points during production,
and recorded by our advanced Process Information
Management System. This system includes the following
major components:
Quality department measuring
bench
The automated measuring bench carries out a large
number of quality tests at high speed. This gives
our quality controllers and process operators
rapid access to the measurement results and allows
them to adjust the current production run if
necessary. The data are stored automatically
in the QMS.
Quality Management System
(QMS)
The QMS is a large database in which we store
all quality data. The system can present these
data in a clear manner through tables or charts.
Thanks to this system we can access the required
data at any time.
Data Historian
The Data Historian is a counterpart of the QMS
system. However, this database does not store
any quality data, but the machine settings
instead. These data are presented in a clear
manner and can be linked to the data in the
QMS system.
